Winter Sailing - Panel - NFS (COPWS24X30) Price: $0.00 Shipping: $0.00 $0.00 shipping handling for additional Winter Sailing - Panel - NFS This gorgeous sailboat panel was adapted from a pattern created by Bill Blodgett entitled "Testing the Wind".  Using clear waterglass for the outer background, helped to emphasize the red border, which in turn gave a portal effect of the design.  Using a large piece of clear baroque, the sky was cut in continuous pieces, so that the swirls in the baroque followed through from piece to piece, giving a lovely blended background broken only by white wispy clouds and opaque white sails!  White opaque glass with red tiedown tips for the sails not only helped to accent the "portal" border, but also gave dramatic balance the piece against the clear, whispy sky.  Brown glass in 3 different shades was used for the cabin and decking to give shading and depth, while the white opaque hull strengthens the balance of the piece.  Four different shades and textures of glass comprise the ocean, giving it depth and movement.  The finished piece measured 24" wide x 30" high, and was polished to a lovely silver patina.  To receive a quote for a similar piece, please email your request to jan.glasslady@gmail.com.
